How to install Lightroom Presets (Desktop Lightroom Presets & Lightroom Mobile Presets)
If you have not purchased your professional Lightroom presets for desktop or Lightroom mobile presets yet, you can Shop Here. You are also welcome to read our FAQ should you have any questions or concerns. Otherwise, please follow the steps below.
1. Lightroom Presets for Desktop (.XMP files)
After purchase you will receive 2 links to download your best desktop Lightroom presets (.XMP files):
- DropBox link
- Google Drive link
Using one of these links, download a ZIP file to your computer and follow the steps below:
- Open Lightroom Classic on your computer.
- Go to the ‘Develop’ tab ( Top right corner ).
- In the left panel find the ‘Presets’ tab > Click the ‘+’ icon > Click ‘Import Presets’.
- Find the ZIP file you have downloaded and import it (you don’t need to unzip the file). You can also import files unzipped, if you desire.
That’s it! Now you can find your new presets in the ‘Presets’ tab under ‘User Presets’ and apply them to your photos.

Step 1. Download Lightroom Mobile Presets to your mobile phone
After purchase you will receive 2 links to download your Lightroom presets (.DNG files):
- DropBox link (recommended for IPhone)
- Google Drive link (recommended for Android)
The links can also be accessed via ‘MY ACCOUNT’ or via your email.

If you have issues with downloading, do not worry – simply ask us to email you preset files and download from your email. This normally works well for most devices.

Step 2. Upload the files to Adobe Lightroom App (also known as Adobe Lightroom Photo Editor App)
Open Adobe Lightroom app > Click ‘All Photos’ (or you can create a new Album) > Click ‘Add Photo’ icon (Bottom left corner) > Add downloaded files from you Camera Roll / Gallery.

Step 3. Create preset
Open 1 added photo > Click the ‘3 dots’ icon (Top right corner) > Click ‘Create Preset’ > Name your preset > Save.

4. Apply Lightroom Mobile Presets to your photos
Go to ‘All Photos’ > Add your own photo and Open it > Click ‘Presets’ (Bottom panel) > Choose ‘User Presets’ in the dropdown > Choose the Preset you have created.
That’s it! Enjoy your photo editing. 🙂

Troubleshooting:
I am getting empty / black / grey images instead of pictures.
This is TOTALLY FINE. The installation DNG files should look like black / grey squares or a grid of images in your Camera Roll. Please DO NOT try to open them on your phone – they will not open. Simply continue the installation.
I am not getting separate photos, only a grid of 9 images.
You are doing it right. You are not supposed to download separate images. Simply continue the installation with the DNG files downloaded.
I have tried everything and I cannot download from DropBox / Google Drive to my phone.
That’s fine, do not worry. You can either:
- download files to your computer > email them to yourself > download from your email
- ask us to email you the files > download from your email
When I try to download I can only see ‘Open in… VSCO App’.
You do not need to use ‘Open in…’ option. You need to download the file to your mobile phone. Then open Adobe Lightroom App > Upload it there > Continue with the next steps.
I have uploaded the file to Lightroom App but the presets did not appear.
For your Lightroom mobile presets to appear you need to complete Step 3. ‘Create Preset’ (see above).
I have installed my Lightroom mobile presets as per instructions but when I apply it to my photo, nothing changes / The preset does not work
This might happen if you accidentally downloaded file as an image (JPG) not as an installation file (DNG).
Remove all previous downloads from you phone and Lightroom App > Re-download files as an installation DNG file.
I wanted to buy Instagram presets for Lightroom desktop, but I cannot find them. Do I buy them separately?
